I am a climate activist and organiser residing on Wurundjeri country, Naarm, where I have grown up.
I come from a Bengali community with strong connections to Kolkata (India), where I first gained a consciousness of global inequality and the effects of environmental degradation.
In 2019 as School Strike 4 Climate started to grow in momentum, I threw myself into climate and activist networks; which led me to organise through the end of high school and after graduation.
I have learnt from and collaborated with various youth and climate spaces, but remain most deeply connected to the School Strike movement and Tipping Point, where I have worked as a gradutated mentor/adult supporter.
I spend most of my time plotting mobilisations, supporting youth grassrooots organising and generally thinking about all things politics! Also manage to fit some university, reading, picnics and bass playing in there... though sporadically.
