Most of my organising work has been for Doctors for the Environment Australia. I’ve previously been involved with recruiting my colleagues to the environmental health cause, and implementing media initiatives to the general public on climate change. I’m currently Doctors for the Environment Australia’s Policy and Advocacy Officer. Over the last year, I’ve been involved in a campaign on children’s health and climate change, including a writing a report for the general community, media work, political engagement and organising an online open letter for parents.
I’m also currently involved in air pollution research in a coal mining area and hope to engage the community with the results. Earlier in the year, I was active in advocacy to encourage larger medical organisations and my colleagues to be vocal on climate change. I’ve also helped out with a number of our organisation’s other initiatives on capacity building, divestment, climate change and air pollution.
