I coordinate the Yes2Renewables campaign at Friends of the Earth (FoE) Melbourne, a collective of citizens based around Victoria working together to accelerate the transition to renewable energy.

In the past 2-3 years we have run successful campaigns alongside the union movement and the Latrobe Valley community securing federal legislation to kickstart offshore wind, as well as an ambitious target for Victoria that will see 9 gigawatts of offshore wind built by 2040. Prior to this I coordinated FoE's campaigns to legislate the Victorian Renewable Energy Target, power Melbourne's trains with renewable energy, and provide on-ground support to regional communities who want to see wind farms built in their backyard.

I am currently a non-executive board member at Friends of the Earth Asia-Pacific, and contribute to international solidarity campaigns to protect the human rights of environmental defenders.
For me the Community Organising Fellowship is a great opportunity to build on my skills in strategy, community organising and facilitation, and to meet new people across social movements to build solidarity and climate justice.
