I am currently the community organiser for Democracy in Colour, a racial and economic justice organisation in Australia.
Born in Malaysia and only moving to Australia when I was in my teens, my lived experience as a migrant and identity as a person of colour has led me to be passionate about building the political power of people of colour and migrants in Australia.
I currently live on Dharawal Land and have been organising communities of colour in Western Sydney and across Australia on a Migration with Dignity Campaign, demanding the rights and dignity for people on temporary visas.
My previous organising and advocacy experience also came from my involvement with other organisations including Action Aid, Sydney Alliance, Red Cross and Oxfam.
